If you would like to nominate an elder for a NIA (purpose) Award please submit a short bio highlighting the contributions of the individual striving towards strengthening and preserving the African American community.

NIA Awardees are individuals who have become the unacknowledged/uncelebrated role models within our community due to their strength, determination, courage, patience, and faith.  They have significantly contributed to aid in the preservation of a dignified and respected race and culture.
